Sources reveal that Rudiger is being offered a wage of less than £140,000-a-week as the talks regarding his transfer are on the go. This is less than what is being offered to Mason Mount in the new contract.
Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva will be free agents from next summer should their contracts not be extended this season. All these are senior defenders at the club.
This is more of a problem to the Blues as Manchester United has been on several occasions been linked to the transfer of the center back. This could mean Chelsea fans' favorite player could join Manchester United for free at the end of this season.
