Monday Football Transfer Gossip: Latest Rumours and Potential Signings for Summer 2023.

Football transfer rumors are always hot topics for football fans around the world, and this week's gossip is no exception. According to reports, Former Leeds boss Jesse Marsch has decided not to take the Leicester City job, despite being close to reaching a final agreement. This news comes as a disappointment for the Foxes, who were hoping to hire Marsch as their new manager.


In other transfer news, AC Milan is reportedly interested in signing England Under-21 striker Folarin Balogun, who is currently on loan at Reims from Arsenal. However, the Italian club is expecting Arsenal to ask for more than £26.5m for the 21-year-old striker.


Meanwhile, Tottenham has shown an interest in signing Morocco winger Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea this summer. Manchester United is also keeping tabs on Celta Vigo's Spanish midfielder Gabri Veiga, 20, and Brighton's Ecuador midfielder Moises Caicedo, 21, and Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, 24.


Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, 35, has turned down an offer from Saudi Arabia and wants to stay at the club for at least one more season. Chelsea and Liverpool are set to target Inter Milan's Nicolo Barella, with the Italian giants reportedly willing to sell the Italy midfielder, 26, for £44m.


In other transfer news, Manchester United has had positive talks with Monaco over the potential signing of France defender Axel Disasi, 25. The Red Devils could also turn their attention towards signing Bayern Munich's France defender Benjamin Pavard, 27, if they fail to sign Bayer Leverkusen's Dutch defender Jeremie Frimpong, 22.


Brentford's Spain goalkeeper David Raya is expected to leave the club this summer, with the Bees reportedly asking for a fee of £35.4m. Bologna and Leicester City are both interested in signing Birmingham City's 18-year-old Wales midfielder Jordan James.


Meanwhile, France midfielder Adrien Rabiot, 28, says he is still waiting to discuss whether to sign a new contract with Juventus, and Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus, whose contract expires this summer, is set to sign a new deal for next season, despite having to take a pay cut.


In other football news, Barcelona's coach Xavi Hernandez will "insist" that Sergio Busquets stays with the club for at least one more season before the former Spain midfielder, 34, leaves to join an MLS club. Real Madrid reportedly tried to sign Chelsea's interim boss Frank Lampard twice when the former England midfielder, 44, was a key player for the Blues - in 2005 and 2010.


Moving onto Premier League results from yesterday, Leeds suffered a 1-5 home defeat against Crystal Palace, while Liverpool and Arsenal played out a 2-2 draw. These results have shaken up the table, with Liverpool now sitting in eighth place, while Arsenal remains in first place.
