Mikel Arteta joined Arsenal from Manchester City where he was acting as an assistant coach to Pep Guardiola. Mikel Arteta joined Arsenal replacing Unai Emery who had just been sacked due to the poor performance of his club. The Spaniard played for Arsenal a total of 110 games between 2014-16 before retiring from playing professional football and turning to the coaching career. Though Arteta took Arsenal's job as Manager on 20th December, 2019 , he coached his first match fixture on December, 22nd.

With his team, Arteta has won one FA Cup and one Community Shield titles for the club. He has coached 107 games for Arsenal in the past two years and performed as below;
