On 10th December, the UK government implemented 'Plan B' to deal with a rise in Covid-19 cases amid the spread of the Omicron Variant including making vaccine passports mandatory to attend most (if not all) Premier League games.

H(caps)owever the effort, Fourteen Premier League games have been called off this month due to COVID-19, but the league said its intention was to continue the fixture schedule where safely possible. The latest fixture to be called off was Aston Villa Vs Leeds United which was scheduled on Tuesday, 28th December.

Attending a #PL match? You must:

It's the protocol of the English Football League, whereby any club with 14 fit players available will have to take on the game.
